To celebrate Eskom Expo for Young Scientists’ 40th anniversary in 2020, we are giving away two laptops to learners who can best inspire other learners to participate in Eskom Expo. The competition involves learners posting a home video on YouTube that is 2 to 5 minutes in length.
The competition opens on 6 April 2020, and closes on 6 May 2020.
Aim of our competition:
The aim is for learners to see what elements inspired other learners, and to seek similar inspiration to embark on their own research projects. The video should thus encompass these qualities, of how a young scientist consciously sought to find solutions and ideas to address matters in their surroundings/communities.
The Competition:
- Film a 2 to 5-minute home video where you introduce yourself (name, surname, school, grade).
- Provide the following information:
-
- What encouraged you to enter Eskom Expo;
- A brief overview of a research project you’ve conducted;
- Explain the process of how you came up with your research project;
- Explain what inspired your project.
- Upload the video on your YouTube channel
- Share the video link on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram (make sure your profile is public)
- Use the hashtag #EskomExpoTurns40 in all posts
- Tag Eskom Expo in all posts (@ExpoScience on Twitter & Facebook/ @eskom_expo on Instagram)
